Entirely about weird people.

Some fucking freaks abused the comment-system of this newsfeed and created something like 150.000 comments advertising viagra, cialis, lesbians with strapons, lesbians without strapons, lesbians with big boobs, lesbians with small boobs, lesbians with low mortgage rates, low mortgage rates with lesbians that got high, pills, penis enlargement and so on…
It took me hours to clean up the mess and now I am seriously pissed off. Luckily Els dealt with them some time ago and hopefully my comments will be save again in some days.

Entirely about weird games.

Since some (ex-)colleagues started playing World of Warcraft lately, I thought maybe it’s time to give an update about my own waste of time with this game.
Back in 2005, when I mentioned WoW for the first time in this newsfeed, I had just started to play. It was so exciting to discover new areas and to boldly go where no dwarf has … uhm .. wrong game, sorry. Even though I had a lot of fun playing a dwarfen hunter, I gave other characters a try and got stucked with an paladina named Egwene. Now, nearly 3 years later, Egwene is still sort of what most people would call a „main character“, but I also really enjoy playing a warrior (Crâzy), a priest (Demandred) or a mage (Haryll). You can find all these characters at Blizzards armory.

You might also want to check out this blog about a colleagues first steps into the World of Warcraft. It’s written nicely and for those of you, who cannot read, it’s packed with beautiful pics and flicks. 😉

Another news update by request.

Since Karsten obviously doesn’t like my „No news is good news“-policy very much and even started complaining about that in his own blog, I thought maybe it’s time to give another short update even though not too many interesting things had occured in last few months.
Markus and David compelled me to sign a contract at a local health club, so I started doing some sports for the first time in like 5 years.
At the Games Convention in Leipzig I met some guys from my World of Warcraft Guild for the first time in real life. We had an awesome weekend with tasty knuckles, a lot of talk and even more fun.
Since September 1st Micha (some you might still remember him as [YWC]/[NVA]Sir_Torben) is working with David, Markus and me at Jamba. He moved from Cologne right into my flat.
I look very much forward to see Susanne, Anja and Micha in October at Anjas birthday party. I didn’t met them for some time and I am really curious to see Susanne.

A short update by special request…

Hi Karsten, this one’s for you! 😛
It’s been a while, since I gave an update, but there wasn’t much to tell… really. 😀
On the first of march I received my new working contract – an open ended contract for the first time. Sweet.
On the 24th of March I turned 30 and one week later I had a big party with lots of ((heavily) drunken) people, tons of meat and really nice presents. So I want to thank everybody for coming and I hope you had a good time! Special thanks to all those, who traveled hundrets of kilometers. I really appreciate!

Btw: „No news is good news.“ QFT!

„Seit heute morgen 5 Uhr wird zurückgekocht!“

It was the 10th of August, when I read about new weapons of mass-heating, our neighbours in the south (a.k.a. Gera) acquired. :/
We couldn’t accept this threat and we are proud to present our answer to protect the country and to serve tea.

Astonishing 2.0 litres of water heated by stunning 2300 Watts exactly to the adjusted temperature and automatically kept warm for hours. 😮
Thanks to Anke, for presenting this outstanding piece of german craftsmanship to me.

OH MY GOD! It works!

After a downtime of something like 6 months I transfered my news-database to my own webspace (Thx to Markus for hosting this such a long time!).
Last saturday it was ten years ago, that I started studying in Leipzig. At that time I had no idea, what nice, strange, lovely, stupid and interesting people I was going to meet. Some of these people are still close friends of mine, some I even work with. Some are married (e.g. Olli, Thomas Z., Tom), some even have kids (e.g. Micha Z., Stefan and hopefully soon Micha & Anja) and some are still single. To some people I still talk nearly every single day – and with some I lost contact along the way. But be assured I did not forget anyone of you.
Maybe this is a good time to meet again in Leipzig an have a Spezi (or Beer if you like to) and a crispy knuckle at the famous „Paulaner“.

As I’ve promised…

… I’m back to write some more.
Four weeks ago, our firm moved from this old, sleazy factory building at punk-stronghold Kreuzberg to this all new and so damn shiny place near Alexanderplatz. Everything is a bit less atmospheric and I have to stand up a bit earlier to be there in time, but at least the new building has an air condition to play with. 😀
On saturday I’ve met Manu (sorry for keeping it short dude, I was in a hurry…) and once again I was in a melancholic mood, when I had to leave. I still miss the good old times, when we were pretending to study and did all this shenanigans. Those were the days … those were the days.
