Of new toys
Lately there has been some complaining about this blog being in English only. Well then, here we go. All new post will be available in German too. You can choose your favorite version with the nifty little box to the right or below every post.
You can’t say I’m not listening… 🙂
Also there is a new category where I replicate my posts from our WoW guilds blog. Unfortunately they are all in German and will stay this way.

A quick post in which the author is puzzled about german bands
When I was surfing Youtube today, I ran across a new friend invitation. You may say that’s nothing special since there’s a lot of strange people out there in the net who tend to invite each other as so called friends all the time, but check out this:
What the hack! Obviously this is the official Youtube account of the band, but what makes them sending an invitation to me?!
Well, since I’m a nice guy and the band actually _is_ from my beloved homeland Saxony I accepted, but I still wonder what’s wrong with them… or with me.

Overtime
Well, New Years Eve seems like yesterday, but it’s already gone for nearly two months. The job has been quite a bit hectic lately, but it’s a real good feeling to see some things change and to be involved in this changes – even if this means to stay way too long at work, like I did last week. 🙂
I even felt too busy to order new glasses, although the coating of my old glasses peels off a bit more every single day, which is driving me nuts! Even some Christmas presents still lie around waiting desperately to be stuffed in a box and sent to their recipients. Easter presents incoming… :-/
Oh Lord won’t you buy me a Playstation 3
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Playstation 3 ?
My friends all have Xbox‘, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won’t you buy me a Playstation 3 ?
Damnit! While I always negated the need to have one of Sony’s Gaystations, it now seems as if life (once again) decided to prove me wrong. While reading Brian May’s weblog about life, music and space (literally!) I stumbled over the news, that there will be a „Singstar – Queen“ game in March – exclusively for Playstation. DAMNIT! DAMNIT! DAMNIT!
This is even more frustrating, since I need new glasses and I am pretty sure the optician will squeeze every spare Cent out of me…

Purgation – An act of getting rid of something disagreeable, flawed or unsatisfactory
Once again I survived Christmas and even New Year’s Eve. Well, to be honest, Christmas wasn’t even _that_ hard this year. Everybody seemed to like my gifts, the food was fine and (most important) things weren’t as hectic as in the last years. I even found time to start re-reading „American Gods“ by Neil Gaiman. *wave @ Karsten*
On Saturday I met some people from my World of Warcraft guild in Gera. We had brunch at a nice restaurant, talked a lot and laughed even more. Ronny came all the way to Chemnitz to pick up Leo, Frank and me and Thorsten gave me a ride back to Berlin, so I even saved some money by spending money at the inn. 😉 Again: Thanks to the both you! This was definitely something we should do again!
New Year’s Eve sucked a lot, since I had to be in Berlin and no decent party was set up. Since I love people, but I hate gatherings (I _really_ do!), I didn’t go to Brandenburger Tor where a million people partied and watched TV instead. Over all 2008 sucked anyway, let’s just forget this year and move on to a brighter, better future. 😉
Malaise – An all-around feeling of illness or bad health without any exact cause
Yesterday one of Jambas (in)famous Christmas parties took place. Even with our company’s name changed to „Fox Mobile Entertainment“, we proved again that the folks at Jamba works hard and parties even harder. We danced for hours and most of us had more than a couple of drinks too much. We even did our teams traditional conga line between all the drunken people on the dancefloor. Now every part of my body is aching and probably will for some days, but is was damn sure worth it.
Today I felt in the mood to watch some photographs from the past. The more I pictures I saw, the more I had to ask myself where exactly the things started to go terribly wrong. I couldn’t find out when, but they did for sure… let’s see if I can undo some damage and change some things to the better in 2009. 😉
So everybody take care, have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Time to shine!
Syntax – The arrangement of something in a methodical manner
It’s been a while since my last post and (again) a lot of things happened. First of all, we paid a visit to Micha and Anja, who moved for occupational reasons from Gera to the Dutch border. While there is whole lot of work to be done to the house they bought, it is already a homely place to be. And even more important: Little Susanne said my name for the first time, which was a pretty exciting thing. 🙂
On November the 13th „World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King“ the second expansion to World of Warcraft was released. Stores all over the world opened at midnight and Blizzard did some release partys in Paris, New York, London – and Berlin. They did some competitions (a dancing competion for instance, where people imitated dances from the game), had musicians, developers signing the boxes and of course Arthas, the lich king himself, had a appearance. Also Blizzard brought some goodies like T-shirts and posters for every attendee. Of course we joined the event and it was kinda fun, even though it consisted of a of waiting. While waiting to get our collectors edition signed, a guy from Buffed.de took a photo of Micha, Bertram and me. Make me a C-lebrity!
Later on Vattenfall (my local electricity supplier) made me pay my electricity bill and seriously endangered my ability to buy a new TV box. Luckily Amazon marked down my favourite TV box to 649 € which finally made me buy it. Right now I couldn’t be more happy with this toy! The picture quality is just great even with DVDs and the games on my 360 never looked THAT awesome before.
